It’s A Disaster is not what it title implies in regards to how good the movie is. It is a smart comedy with real moments of these couples facing the end of relationships, their brunch tradition, and ultimately the world.
Tracy (Julia Stiles) brings her new boyfriend Glenn (David Cross) to a usual couples brunch where it starts off relatively well but take a downward slope as things start to be revealed. The great thing about this comedy/disaster film is that they keep things light hearted even as problems around.
The theater was full of laughter from the witty banter and off handed jokes that proves this to be a worthy script. It is a refreshingly different kind of film. Although I do have to say I am a sucker for films that have smart dialogue and make me laugh which this has. The only thing I would have to say is start of the film (credit sequence) was a little slow but the ending was great.
